This course provides an overview of system components and practical experience. Monitor system performance with HPE Foundation Software (HFS).

Use rack management controller (RMC) commands to power on and boot the server, configure autopower, retrieve hardware configuration, and monitor log
files.

Access the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface
(UEFI)

navigate the default path to boot operating system
•• At the setup interface, boot from a file and add a boot
option
•• At booted operating system, use the efibootmgr
command to set the next boot option
•• Define and manage nPartitions
•• Enable simple network management protocol (SNMP)
•• Use remote management with ipmitool
•• Run an ipmi command against a baseboard
management controller (BMC)
•• Retrieving RMC or BMC power status information
